Whilst on holiday in Sweden recently I kept noticing big old 1950’s American cars parked up and sometimes being driven around small towns. It turns out there’s a big “raggare” subculture in Sweden where there are now more restored 1950’s American cars than in the whole of the US. This emerged during the 1950s and was mostly inspired by American rockabilly music, fashion and of course the big classic gas-guzzling cars. As I was touring around Sweden I managed to photograph a few of these amazing cars.
